Day 1 comes to a close with a late skate. Usah is only using 2 of the 4 rinks at the ESL which is a shame. Tonight each ice session was shared by 2 teams which turned out better than I thout it would. Drills, primarily flow drills, passing and shooting.
The 15 and 16′s pretty much did the same drills but individual coachs were obviously free to make changes based on the situation. So far it seems like it will be a good camp.
Standouts: I took some notes on some players that stood out but it’s early so I’ll keep an eye out and maybe post a midweek report. Overall, the talent looks very good. Interesting note, the drills really show those who can skate from those that need some more development.
Random thoughts: few spectators, great weather, rink still has a window foging problem.
